Ruby the dog

PET SITTING

Pet sitting involves an understanding of your animal’s needs and personality. Your pet will be taken care of in the comfort of their own home with the reassurance of their normal routine being undisturbed! With a long history of the practical side of caring for animals large and small, combined with an advanced knowledge of animal behaviour you can trust me with your pets! The pet sitting team includes myself, Emma and Katie. See the homepage to find out more about us. The following prices include overnight stays and walking for dogs.

Price: 

Dog £55/night. £5 per additional dog. 

Cat £40/night.

Both include other small pets no extra charge.

We also offer day visits, which can include company, feeding and exercise for dogs, cats and small animals who do not require my company overnight. 

Pet check in prices:
Dog visit 1 hour: £20, £35 for two and £40 for a group of 3 plus (small breeds only)
Cat visit 30 minutes: £15 for 1/day and £25 for /day
Dog full day sitting: £100 (will vary with number of dogs)

Smaller animals will vary depending on your location and how many visits, get in touch to find out more.

*A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the overall fee will apply to all live-in bookings.

BEHAVIOUR CONSULTING

If your animal needs help with a specific emotional/behavioural issue, behaviour Consulting with Partners in Paw may be a great option for you. Consultations are carried out in the comfort of your own home with a personalised plan to fit your pet’s needs and your lifestyle. 

The consultations will comprise of:

  • Personality, behaviour and history questionnaire

  •  Medical history and completed referral from your registered vet

  • Home consultation (2-4 hours)

  • Assessment

  • Management plan

  • Behaviour modification plan

  • Written report and relevant training handouts

  • Three months follow-up in the form of 121, email and telephone

 

Prices:

Dog: £250.

Cat: £170

Rabbit: £75

Travel expenses: £0.50p per mile travelled outside a 50 mile radius.

1-2-1 TRAINING

Advice and training can cover anything from teaching your puppy the skills to become a well-behaved member of society to working with a variety of training issues, these may include:

  • Recall

  • Lead walking

  • Basic commands such as sit, stay, down and paw

  • Leave and drop

  • Self control and manners

  • Settle and go to bed

  • Visitor behaviour

  • Target training/touch

  • Muzzle training

  • Scent work

And anything else you might think of.

If there is no specific skill you wish to train but general advice on: vet visits, handling, new family members, introductions or housetraining, Partners in Paw can help. 

Prices: 121 1 hour £45 or £85 2 hours (face to face)
121 1 hour £40 or £75 2 hours (via zoom)

121 pre-puppy arrival session £80 with follow-up checklists

Block bookings: Puppy course 121 £180 for five 1 hour sessions and 1 initial consult 1.5 hours. (To cover the foundations of puppy raising).
Adult course 121 £200 for five 1 hour sessions and 1 initial consult 1.5 hours. (For plan and management).
Training walks: £30 an hour to cover behaviours from lead walking, focus, calm, greetings and recall.

ONLINE COURSES

GOOD DOG LEVEL 1

 

This is an online course to cover some of the basic essentials for you and your dog! Learn at home at your own pace with bitesize videos.

 

This is for a great price of £50 plus VAT. This course would normally cost £200 on a face to face basis.

In GOOD DOG - LEVEL 1 we start to teach your dog how to be the goodest boy or girl your family could wish for including:

  • Sitting and staying when asked

  • Settling and chilling when asked

  • Coming back even when there are squirrels

  • Walking with the person on the end of the lead, and not pulling them like the huskies they saw on the Christmas advert on the Telly Box

  • Being the best and fastest dog at fetch in the dog park

  • Leaving stuff when their person says, even when it's the tastiest snack in the hands of a human puppy

  • Listening to your every word

  • Doing simple tricks to prove to your neighbours and friends they really are the goodest boy or girl in town

Social walks

Social and Reactive Walks

Partners In Paw will now be running social and reactive walks on Sunday mornings in the village of Furneux Pelham, Buntingford. 

Reactive walks exist to be provide a safe and controlled, on-lead walk for reactive dogs and their handlers to practice being in the company of other dogs with support from myself. 

  • We will practice focus and calm exercises

  • We will identify and work on your dogs threshold in this context

  • You will be around like-minded and non-judgemental owners

  • In the quiet countryside

  • Puppy skills and socialisation

  • £15 for the hour

Social walks are designed for those of you that want their dog to spend more time around other dogs but in a safe and controlled manner. It is ideal for dogs that live in quiet areas and do not get exposure to groups of dogs, it is ideal for young dogs to learn the basics of being around other dogs on lead, it is ideal for shy dogs to be able to watch a group of dogs with no risk that they are going to come flying over and jump all over them. 

£10 per dog for an hour

WEDDING CHAPERONE

Have your fur child or four-pawed best mate at your special day, stress free with this new service. Your pet will be able to accompany you to the venue to join in with the fesitivties, photos and love without you having to worry about their care. 

The wedding day package includes;

  • Complimentary meet and greet to go through the itinerary and plan prior to your date.

  • AM arrival to your home to prep your dog however you need and stay with them until we are required, this includes a walk beforehand, any pamerping they might need or accessories they might want to wear.

  • Bringing your dog to your venue and looking after them until you need to steal them off us.

  • When your dog is all tuckered out and you're a few wines in, we'll take your pal home and stay with them until you're home the next day.

This package is £130 and extra nights can be added if needed.
